WP 13 - Dissemination and exploitation
The overall objective of this work package is to provide an active and professional dissemination of the project results according to the adopted dissemination strategy. Further, it is the objective to develop an effective and realistic exploitation strategy for the project outcome to be documented in professional business plans. The objectives are in particular:Ensure that the results of the project are properly disseminated, including:
- Define, agree and execute a comprehensive dissemination strategy.
- Capturing, management and re-use the knowledge created in the project.
- Disseminate the knowledge created in the project to the appropriate places.
- Ensure that appropriate results are being presented to relevant standardisation bodies and fora.
- Develop a HYDRA demonstration middleware for demonstration to potential users.
Ensure that the results of the project are properly prepared for exploitation, including:
- Ensure the best possible foundation for an appropriate commercial and non-commercial exploitation of the project results (after the project has finished).
- Secure that all results of the project are fully exploited through development of effective exploitation plans.
- Ensure that proper business plans are developed.
Project exploitation plan
The Project Exploitation Plan will describe the Consortium and individual industrial partner’s strategies. The Exploitation Plan will provide information about the potential products, competitors and the technology benchmarks. It will define the HYDRA market position and identify the potential market segments as well as the specific academic and industrial strategies to be implemented.
In particular, the Exploitation Plan will include:
- A benchmarking analysis between HYDRA and other middleware
- A specific analysis to evaluate the potential market segments
- A general Consortium strategy highlighting the key leverages to enter the market
- Specific industrial partners exploitation strategies and industrial promotion actions
- Specific academic partners exploitation strategies and academic promotion actions
The market analysis will be aimed at also analysing the technology state-of-the-art and an updated Technology Watch report. The results of the market analysis will allow:
- Identification of comparative technologies, featuring similar performances/efficiency
- Support for the users needs analysis
- Identification of market trends
The market analysis will be developed in close contact with all project partners and in particular with the industrial partners. It will offer new and updated information on users needs in order to provide the scientific partners with useful feedback on the marketability of HYDRA products and provide a comprehensive background for each partner’s individual exploitation and business plan.
Individual exploitation strategies will be developed after the user requirements have been clearly defined and realistic business models have been developed. From this exploitation framework, potential target groups in different sectors will be identified, analysed and prioritised according to academic and industrial attractiveness. The exploitation work will be focused on early adopters, in order to optimise time-to-market after the project end. Project exploitation will commence, as soon as the validation model is operational and in parallel with the user test and validation.
As the relevant project results for PRIWAY and T-CON fit strongly within their existing core businesses these two partners have agreed that their HYDRA exploitation activities will be subsumed within their normal exploitation activities and not identified as a separate dedicated project effort.
