WP 9 - User applications

The objectives of this workpackage are to build the three user applications, which were developed in WP 2 – Iterative user requirements engineering. The work in each iterative cycle will comprise:
  • Provide relevant user products and services to build the relevant part of the application
  • Installation of the relevant part of the user scenarios on location
  • Population of the user application with data and services
  • Technical testing the user applications

The users will provide the necessary products and services for the user scenarios as soon as the middleware components become available. The integration involves the following main tasks:

  • Middleware components and development environments will be set up and made accessible to developers.
  • Communication infrastructures will be established and Grid-services will be enabled.
  • Web services will be enabled with live access to and from content repositories and content providers.
